Intermittent Fasting

I have been doing intermittent fasting for almost three months! I have noticed a difference in my energy levels and how my clothes fit! Slowly, but surely. I have lost 10 pounds and gone down in a clothing size!

At first I was really discouraged because I wasn’t losing weight like the specialists said. Not all victories are on the scale and noticing my clothes for better on my body helped me realize that. Stay focused and keep going. You are progressing even if you can’t see it!

I still start my fast around 7 pm. The last thing I drink is a protein drink. I get up and workout at 5:30 and have another protein drink at 6:30 as I’m walking out the door for work. I don’t actually eat food until 9 am. I am getting use to always having eggs in the morning for my breakfast. I was getting SO DONE with them, that I would start gagging trying to get them down. I then had to search different ways I could cook them and different foods that maybe I could add to help with texture. Since I found that sourdough bread can be eaten on the Keto/Carnivore diet, I haven’t had any problems. I have sourdough toast and scrambled eggs every morning. I haven’t become bored with it yet.

If you have been thinking about trying intermittent fasting I highly encourage you to do it! It will help you so much! I didn’t realize how much I snack during the day and at night. It’s helped lower my blood sugar and keep my insulin regulated, which is why I started doing it. You won’t starve and you’ll get out of the habit of boredom eating.
